This one is for Northern Rancher. Bear was taken in June 2008 at Moose Lake Lodge, an outfitter I used to guide for and am still close friends with.

Did these through Photobucket.
Next time I will try sizing them down a little. Thanks Yanuck, you never know what you will get now that I have your email address.
Photo Gallery still says error on page.

How much did the bear weigh? holy cow he's big!! glad you got it to work, I always use Photobucket, never had any problems yet :-) I might have some emails to send right back 'atcha!!

Nice Bear, hate to run in to something like that cruising around in the woods  ,Really like those corrals.Amazing how one little spring can shut down a feeding operation.Good luck with your project.

That's a BIG bear! I would be curious what it weighed too :D . Looks like you're covered up for the winter... it's just been blowing 50 mph+ here over the past few days (now I understand why some pioneer women went crazy and shot themselves during a long winter :? ). Keep posting the pics!

What symptoms did that little spring cause? I have a 6310.

For/rev valve stuck in reverse thereby not allowing nuetral start switch to switch off not allowing tractor to start off key. This all happened two miles from home on the feedground.
Should have my parts today.

This operation has definately renewed my love for hydraulic oil. :x

Awesome pictures of the bear and moose!

I have a friend that is a big time hunter and have got to see both on a dinner plate. Not into bear but the moose isn't to bad.

Thanks for the pics gcreek. Isn't mechanicing in the cold with all the oil and such a wonderful experience? I can imagine there would be some descriptive, colourful languange during the operation too!
7'8" is a dang good black bear. Way to go.

Can you drop a moose or bear in your part of the country without a license if it damages your fence or is a percieved threat to your herd?

My Game Warden told me I was within my rights to do so, it's no different then shooting a wood chuck. I just have to report it within 12 hours and not move the carcass until I report it. If I wanted to go away and have somebody come in and take care of it I'd have to get a permit for that. I could also shoot White Tail for crop damage (alfalfa). Under these circumstances, hunting laws don't apply. You can take them at night. That's Maine anyway. I never knew it was this good for the farmer until the Warden told me.

If you follow the rules, you can protect property and person from predators without a permit. You had just better make sure you have evidence of a problem if you are planning on sharing the information.

There are no permits that I know of to protect crops from ungulates with your gun. If the moose get to hard on a stackyard I call my red brothers in to thin the ranks.
