Great Pictures Soapweed!!!!!!! The Tetons are a beautiful mountain range for sure. Trip up there we crossed Teton Pass and it was snowin....really pretty views comin down into Jackson Hole when it's snowin......

Love the Jack fence pic....

the tetons are indeed breath-taking!! Thanks for taking along with ya!! however, I am a bit surprised that you did not stop and fix that poor, broke-down fence!!

R2..no matter where you go this time, you MUST make Yellowstone/Teton a high priority!!!

BUT...be prepared for ANY typeof weather. I was there in late May once and it snowed about 10" in one nite! Bummer!

Very, Very nice pictures Soap, I absolutley love that country, very nice of you to post them :D

Does this mean your computer is back?

I'll be on the dinasaur I dug outta the dinin room for a few days.....laptop is gettin a tune up. So no pictures from here. LOL I can still take em, just can't download em from the camera.

And as we were standin there in line yesterday at the "Geek Squad" counter, I read their pricing system........They charge a minimum of $99 to put pictures on a disk from your computer!!!!! I did all that before I took it up there. And they didnt seem "geeky" enuff for me, I almost didn't leave the laptop there, if it weren't for the knockin the fan was doin I wouldnt have left it at all.

i'm not the most travelled person in the world, but Jackson Hole is one of my favorite destinations. i've been there a couple of times and have it on my list to visit again. we dug out the old video of our last Yellowstone trip just the other night & i think i saw that exact same fence on there.

Downtown Jackson Hole is Skeery!!!! Have you seen the prices of stuff?!!!! We drove around a lil bit and found a parkin place.....first store we went into, the painting hangin on the wall was $42,000 dollars....I was like..ok no body touch nothin.....!!!!! I was thankin..."Bull in a china closet"
What was really funny was, the lady at the desk, as we were makin our way out of the store says to the fella with us, "I sure do like yer hat, it has so much charactor" she was on the verge of askin if they could buy it.......he said, "You ain't gittin my hat, it ain't fer sale"
I think it would be a whole lot perdier place if it wasn't so commercialized.

Was up in Jackson earlier this summer for the Inter Agency Brucellosis meeting. Went to lunch with a rancher from Kelly another from down Pinedale way and a Wyoming game warden, well we all had cowboy hats on except for the red shirt guy. We had 3 group of tourist asked to take our picture. My comment was at least they got real ranchers.
When we were kids Mom and Dad take us up after Labor Day and we buy cowboy shirts, boots, and jeans. Then in the spring we go up and buy down coats and vest. No deals anymore.
Hauled my wife up snake river canyon twice a week to a fertility specialist , first kid for months , little less with the next two , our Doctor told us that the specialist could get a fence post pregnant(our Dr , owns Perks Hereford ranch in Etna).Sue took our Daughter to Jackson today to see a orthodontist.
Snake River canyon 500 run twice a day, as Jackson is our third largest employer for Star Valley after The School district and Simplot Smokey canyon mine.

If I was in Jackson, I'd head for the Flat Creek Saddle Shop.
I think it is a good place.

Here is a picture taken while we were browsing through the Flat Creek Saddle Shop. There is certainly a lot of merchandise to check out. I did buy a nice saddle pad that is pre-formed to accomodate the curvature of a horse's back. It is under the Navajo-style blanket pictured in the thread dealing with saddle gear.

The Flat Creek Saddle Shop has our stamp of approval. It is an interesting place to visit.

Whiler getting the chinks told Sue to find a saddle (i'd buy her if certain thing happened this summer) She found one and she never looked at the tag.... a nice $4500 hamley

Man, I wonder how far I would have to drive to find a place like that... We just don't have the inudustry around here.. Sometimes I think I would be better off hooking up a trailer, going out west and buying a horse and saddle out there.. If it wasn't for 3 dollar diesel and the difficulty of shopping from such a distance I would probably do it...
