Brady was my helper in putting up the sign.

We picked a very windy afteroon to accomplish the task (not on purpose :roll: ), and got done just at sundown.

Trailers lined up waiting to unload horses and cattle at the Sheridan Livestock Auction in Rushville, Nebraska. I hauled up twelve cows to justify getting to go to the horse sale.

Thanks for sharing your week with us. I really like the sign you installed, and have often thought about putting one up where I live... I live by a well-traveled road. People need reminded about agriculture, and your county has made a good effort to subtly remind them

Tell Brady he just made my day! We worked some calves for my good friend last weekend and i got busted right in the nose by a left rear uppercut. It took off hide and swelled up so i could only get air on one side. I looked like i lost a fight with somebody, not just a little bitty, sweet black steer calf! It was my birthday that day and my wife said i oughta start acting my age!(40) But my head still thinks I'm 16 and it talks me into trying to bulldog a calf as he escapes the alley to the calf table! Atleast I'm not the only one with battle scars! Waddie Mitchell has a great poem about all the reasons to eat beef and he ends it by saying "I eat it to get even"! Amen!!!

Thanks Soapweed for the new sign...I'll be sure and look for it next time we're heading down the hwy. I'll bet Brady is wondering too what's gonna happen next...lol Hope he can stay healthy till yur all done branding...Thanks for the photos...

Thanks for the photo tour again......great sign. I envy your dry ground. We had 3 inches of rain again today on top of over saturated soils. No field work here at all. The mud is really getting old. The cows are getting tired of it as well. I have heard reports of 65% calf crops due to wet, cold weather which brings on the scours plus a host of other problems. We just can not get warm sunshine.

To top that all off, we had earthquake tremors here at 4:40 am this morning Sent my bed rolling...Weird sensation to say the least :???: I guess the center was in southern Illinois.

That shiner looks like it could be tender.....ouch!
