It's been quite awhile since I've posted any pictures. Here's some I took yesterday of a few of my bred heifers . They'll start calving in March.

Some heifer calves.

Looks as though you have been stretching the truth about drought in your area! :P

You can sure tell functional cattle in an area regardless of breed.

Thanks for the update NedJr.

What do the bulls you produce weigh when they are mature under range conditions? Customer's mature cows?

Did I take that last picture?????

I did take this with my phone. Can't compare to Ned's pics (you should see him out there with his zoom camera and tripod and he puts the cover over his head like Elmer Fudd.......LOL...i kid, i kid)

Things really look good now but we did have under 50% hay crop.

The type of country my customers run in vary greatly. A lot of them are in some pretty rough country. Id guess the bulls might get up to 2100-2200 for a lot of them. And cows 1300.

Fat or lean weights? :P

I wish bulls would get to 1600 lbs and stay there. See a lot of cull Hereford bulls go through the sale in Williams Lake that are thin and weigh a ton or more.

We don't winter our bulls to express their full growth potential. They get a little help until they are through their first winter and then live on hay. The ones that manage to stay sound will weigh around 1800 when they go on their last trip 6 or 7 years. Had one bull last until he was 11. He was in fairly good condition and weighed 1740.
