I didn't want to hijack Ms. Wyoming Rancher's thread. What does that DNA testing cost to match calf to sire and dam?

Ah heck! I already hijacked it before I read your post. I got a quote from Igenity today for $25 per head. Period, no deals.

We got our cowherd done as part of a research project. I can do SNP parentage testing for under $20 per head. I think long term we are looking at around 12-15.

$18 a head if its a dried blood sample-- $25 a head if its hair, semen. or tissue sample....

We have used ear plugs (typifix tags). You can also do a BVD PI test on this type of sample for around $3.
