Really nice jody...

My mom has a quilt that on my mother's birthday my grandma would send her a hanky... Mom had all those hankies as a square, folded with what ever the flower or mom's name as the decoration.. It is beautiful...

And so...katrina...where's the picture?

I have a quilt that my aunt made for me when I was a little girl.
It's the State birds of each of the 48 states. (Yes, 48!
That's how old it is.) I've got it in town getting a new binding,
but I'll get a picture when it comes back. She hand stitched every
one of the birds!! Obviously it meant a lot to me, as I still have it.

I can't wait to see the picture of the quilt with hand stitched birds. I tried to learn to cross stitch once, but didn't have much luck. I tried to make a quilt with little squares of cut up wranglers that I'd saved, but didn't have the patience to do it. My mom ended up doing it for me. It's really heavy, one of my favorite blankets. I will get a picture for you.

Love that quilt!

I found a partly finished on in my in laws trailer house. since I have no skill at quilting and the sewing machines have been packed away I have to find someone to finish it.

Hubby's grandmother made a quilt for each of her son's. we have 2 of those quilts.

Nice quilts, all of them!

I have an old quilt top that a great-aunt made, it was a "windmill" pattern. The top is complete but before she got it quilted, WWII came along and the windmill was too similar to a swastika so it was never finished.
