Only problem with those feeders is a bull can roll them around if they get bored, never had one tip over they are wide enough based and we keep mineral out there enough there isn't much fighting around them.

Soap we jsut got rid of the snow got another 6 inches last week but had a couple days in the upper 30s and low 40s and that took care of it. Froze up now though. This weather sure is hard on stuff.
 
what size of Deere is that? I am looking at a 6400, but was told by a neighbor it will not last handling big square bales.
I just want it for choring and moving the bales off the field. I thought it would be slick.

any opinions?

It's a 6400, probably the slickest tractor we've ever owned. It can go about anywhere and do about any haying job you put it to. We use it for swathing, baling, hauling, grinding, feeding, along with a multitude of other things. Really a great chore tractor.

I second the motion. We have a 6400 with almost 6000 hrs. Use it for everything. Pulls a 15' bush hog adequately. Handles big rounds very well. Best tractor I have owned.
 
we had a 6200 loader tractor and now have a 6120 and both have been excellent tractors. traded the 6200 with over 7000 hrs. on it and no major problems of any kind. love the power quad transmission
