I have been taking hay out to the first and second calvers this week hoping to get them bunched up a bit to move closer to home.
This is only a small sample of the deer I saw today.

The country was pretty well covered with snow.

There are a few hfrs way off in this picture. I caught up with them on my way back.

These 2 were the farthest out. I had seen them a couple days ago with the binoculars out where I had been trying to get the bunch to graze all fall. They finally made it about the time to move home. Not to bad for the first taste of hay this winter, time to move closer in I guess as it's to get colder for a while.

Appears as though your country is shaping up for another good grass year.

Hope you get them all located.

I've got one more day of grass and then the MM bunch goes to full feed. Kind of nice to save 100 bales from anticipated start date. :D

Your right any bale saving early can sure help out at the end of the season. :D

I had a visit with your old buddy from the sand hills tonight. They are keeping well and wintering pretty fair. :D

Not sure about sending them together in their wild, natural state down there. It might be gentler on those southern civilized folks to expose them to one at a time.

I don't think any "exposing" should be done early on. Nice to see you got that camera running BMR.
