It will be a fun deal for you. One piece of advice. It it's cold in February and you're going to be working outside then you may do well to get an old hooded sweatshirt and cut the arm out of it that will be the arm you go into the cow with. That way you can stay warm but not have that sleeve to deal with. You can never roll a sleeve up on a sweatshirt or similar clothing far enough to breed cows comfortably. You could also cut the top 1/2 of the the sleeve at the shoulder seam and leave it attached so you can tuck it inside of the sweatshirt when breeding and pull it out and put it on your arm in the normal position at other times.
Most AI schools teach to go into the cow with the left arm since the rumen is on the left side, it's easier to get a grab on the cervix that way since you're sweeping to the right to grab it. I started out using my right arm but have since switched to my left, the proper way. I now have the benefit of being able to breed with both arms now so if one arm gets tired I can switch.
