Go Royals!! Don't know how many baseball fans there are here. It sure is nice to watch a game when the Royals are not in dead last place. I have been a big fan my whole life and its been a long time since they have been playing this good. Hope they keep it up and don't trade their young talent like they usually do. I guess if so ill still keep watching.

Didn't you hear the news? With all their high-priced off-season acquisitions, The Blue Jays were automatic World series Winners! The Royals didn't stand a chance!

Oh wait - who is higher in the standings now and who's in last place?

Go Royals!

(Why not? :-) )

I have always been a fan of George Brett..... great to see the Royals doing some good....

Jiggsy Boy, we can agree on that! Brett was the Man. Did you realize that just a couple of weeks ago was the 30th anniversary of in infamous pine tar on the bat incident?

Go Blue!

I was listening to the radio on a long trip last week and Dan Patrick had George Brett on his show. Sure brought back some memories. I like George and he is a funny guy. Could hit a baseball, pinetar or not! :D I am a Rangers fan simply because of Nolan Ryan. Those were the days. Too bad these roid inflated, ped knuckleheads make it hard to watch or care much anymore.

I used to love the Royals, and baseball...but anymore the game has lost it's shine.....

every now and then, I pull up the you tube of the pine tar incident and just love to see George go after that ump..... would love to hear the inside story on that day....

My family has always bin big into baseball. That was one thing I could always talk dad into when I was young and we would get done work before dark was go out and hit fly balls. He would hit them until it was so dark I couldn't see them and my arm hurt so bad I couldn't throw them back even half way. When I got up to 12 or 13 we got some big lights and could play after dark. When I got that old the rule was if I missed one we had to quit.

The first Royals game I went to was in the mid 80s when they were good. I don't remember much as I was only 5-6. But I do remember that Steve Balboni hit a home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. I liked watching Brett and all those guys back then. No batting gloves dirty helmet just stand in there and hit it. Playing for one team their whole carrer. These guys jack around with there batting gloves after every pitch now really slows the game down.

I really love the game more than most. Our local town can't even get a team in the 13-15 age range cause everybody is to worried about mayb basketball and summer wrestling camps. It's really sad. Having said all that it isn't to hard to see why it isn't to popular any more. Setting down and watching a whole game will put most kids to sleep. The games do go pretty slow. They are used to video games and such going a million miles an hour.

Back in the day, the PERFECT Sunday afternoon was baling hay with the baler tractor that had the A/C, and listening to the Royals on the radio.

I was able to listen to Brett's last game in it's entirety. Fred Matthews and Denny White had me in tears during George's very last at bat.

The look on George's face as he erupted from the dugout in the pine tar incident is PRICELESS! No need to ask what his feelings were!
