An inconvenient truth

Well daggumit! Least ya happened on it shortly afterwards and got her outta there before she "ruined" that tank.

Your Hydrobed bale mover thingamagig on your truck sure comes in handy don't it.

Sure does. So does my automatic Kosmo camouflage-covered chain hooker-upper. :-)

They can do stupid things sometimes. Daddy had one get a hooked shaped piece that is on the knotter of an old JD square baler hooked in one of her eye sockets about two ywaers ago. When we found her, it looked like she had been hung up on it for a few of hours. She then freed herself in a not so gentle manner when we started trying to help her get unhung. Got her up and gave her a couple of rounds of antibiotics just for good measure. She got well in a few days, and she didn't loose the eye so atleast it turned out ok. Have a good afternoon and stay cool, Clay

Here, in the kind of drought Soapweed is in, that would be mintweed poisoning this time of the year or so I'd guess. I doubt he has mintweed though.

I don't know if Soapweed has mintweed, but hubby thinks we do and was wondering if anyone had a picture of it. I think I know what it looks like and it does smell like mint..but have never heard of mintweed poisoning...interesting.

Sorry Soapweed, it always happens to the young healthy ones...guess you need to take em out for a swim in the lake once in awhile to give them swimmin lessons..lol Ours get their little swim lesson twice a year crossing the river...

Jassy here is what we have . There are other kinds of mint weed. I've never lost a cow to this that I know of but 5 years or so ago I found an otherwise healthy cow in the tank. I blamed it on mint because it was dry and that was about the only green around. They say they won't hardly eat this if they have anything else and I had pasture but it was sure brown. I doubt you have enough rain for this plant but you might. I know a man that lost some to this weed according to the vets post.

Thanks for that website, but it's not the plant I was thinking of...I don't know my weeds very well..lol I'll have to look and see if I can find it again just to satisfy my own curiosity...Thanks again.
