Another day, 10,000 mole hills

My back is killing me!!! Spent most of the day dragging hay fields and knocking down mole hills. Who would think such a small animal could make such big mounds of dirt???? And the little buggers are busy already this year. I swear they make new piles as fast as I flatten the old ones! But I did take some time and sat in my tractor watching the prairie chickens strut their stuff and do their mating dance. Quite interesting to watch, I've never seen it before. There is one hill that they come back to every year to do their thing. The top of the hill has been completely flattened over the years from them. What will I see today?? Nature is a wonderful thing, ain't it?

You are right, Shelly. Nature's wonders never cease to amaze us.

We are all thankful that you are still with us, after the Micotil incident. :-)

I have had two very close calls with automobiles. Either one could have been the end-gate. Since then, I just consider that I'm living on borrowed time, so try to enjoy each day to the fullest. :-)

Here is another natural marvel. While out feeding this morning, I was able to film these dandy lions as they were doing their mating dance.
