You looked to have a pretty nice day compared to what we had today.

Windy and snow with dropping temps. Supposed to be nicer by Friday. :)

It was up to 50 degrees at noon, but late in the afternoon the wind came up out of the north and it immediately cooled off. Now the wind has died down, and it is still 32 degrees.

I messed up earlier this winter and left a stackyard wire gate laying down on the ground, thinking I would shut it again before too long. I tried to shut it a week ago, but realized that the gate was lying in a depression in the ground and a pond had formed and frozen over the top it. Thinking it may have melted enough today to free it, I checked it out this evening. It was still badly frozen to the ground. I used the ice breaking axe and finally got it free so that it could be shut again. Guess I won't do that again.

That ol' coyote would'a looked much better in some crosshairs instead of a shutter! The are fun to see but i get a little nervous when calves are coming. My rifle stays with me and a couple yotes get "Unemployed" if I'm shootin straight, which isn't always a given. Nice pictures!

I sure appreciate how much you get done in a day Soapweed. It seems like for us that there is never enough time to get done what you do. Of course having cattle spread out up to 20 miles away doesn't help.

That coyote would for sure be a gone'r around here lately. Mid-January we started getting some calves out of the cows when it was real cold and snowed in around here and calf tail was a delicasy to the coyotes. I think we have 4 or 5 with stub tails.
