Branded a few late calves, then moved some two year old heifers and their calves to fresh pasture. All the pastures look great, but we need to keep them moving on their rotation anyway.

Eating some leftover grain after I took the horse out that I wanted.

Coming down the slope with them.

Now off to move the heifers.

Scattered out amongst some pretty scattered trees around an old homstead. A couple years ago we burned the old two story house that sat there.

Found this pair that ran between some hills and back to the tank. :x She was thirsty I guess.

Finally got them to moving. The weren't in any hurry to go anyplace.

Green grass, fat cattle and good horses........dont git no better''n that  thanks for the pictures ...............good luck

Maybe you'll pay $50 for a cactus C_C, but not me. There's lots of it out on the prairie, and while it is very pretty when it blooms, that is only a few short days, and the rest of the time it's nothing but a pain. I don't miss cactus one bit, but if you're in the market for some, send me $50 plus S&H of course, and I'll dig you some next time I go east! :p :p

Very nice country Tap. Looks good in green! Much as I dislike cactus, I do love the flowers!

No one said id buy one!! but have you ever gone to a plant store.. and seen cactuse4s for $50?? theres cactuses in alberta??

I don't hang out in plant stores, I'm afraid. Yes there are cactuses in Alberta, in the eastern part of the province. The berries on the little round flat type cactus (Dad called them barrel cactus) are actually very tasty as I recall. I wouldn't recommend eating anything like that without knowing for sure what they are, though. I'd hate to have you tell people that DJL told you to eat what turned out to be toxic!
