Paul Hitch Passes
American agriculture is mourning the loss of Paul Hitch, 64, a cattleman and longtime livestock industry leader from Guymon, Oklahoma. Paul passed away Friday, March 14, 2008, after a difficult bout with cancer. Best known for his success in cattle feeding, Paul was president and chairman of Hitch Enterprises, Inc. and Hitch AgriBusiness, Inc. Paul was a former chairman of the NCBA Policy Division and the NCBA Live Cattle Marketing Committee. He had served the past two years as vice president and president-elect of NCBA but was unable to accept a term as NCBA president due to his illness.
