I have purchased some bred heifers there the last few years. Was talking about flying up to watch the sale but dont know if that is going to go through. Anyone else going to be up there? :D

So far I have only purchased 4 bred heifers. I bought 2 last year and 2 the year before. Of the first group one had been sexed and the other was not. The sexed one ended up having a calf with the opposite sex of what they said. Which was fine since I didnt buy the heifer for what she was carrying as much as I bought her for what she was.

This last year they both had been sexed and had calves accordingly. I have truly been impressed with the cattle and the program. The heifer calves have weaned in the mid 600s I believe and the bulls have been closer to 700, with just grass and milk. I have had 2 bull calves and 2 heifer calves.

The heifers I purchased last year calved three weeks early this year. Some what unexpected since they had been ultrasounded and whatnot I thought they would be a little more accurate but none the less some dang nice heifers.

Bob Cook and everyone else I have talked with up there has been great to deal with.

CA, you lost me somewhere.lol

Herford, I forgot to mention that I have purchased one Danny Boy heifer. Last year in fact, she had a heifer this year by Bando 1961. Looks like the Danny Boy will make a cow for me and her heifer will be right behind her.

Whats the temperment on the Danny Boy's I've heard they will clean out a sale ring..

We've got Connealy Freightliner heifers and they were named that for a reason a bit over board on woofy. The guy who does our Ultrasound asked me if I had anymore Freightliner semen and if I did I should throw it away.Seems he was at a place that had alot of yearling Freightliners and tey were real wild.

'Ive got a few LT Bando 9074 cows and they look like the real deal to me not overly big with nice calves..And pretty quiet our new herdbull is a son of SAV Bandolier 1916 we ran him with 38 cows as a yearling and he held up very well.

Here he is last spring should add some milk and muscle where we need it..

All the heifers from there are not overly friendly but very very managable. I keep them close to the house here along with the other bred heifers so they get moved from pasture to pasture a fair bit. After being humanized for a bit they settle right down. The 2 older ones I have are excellent. The one is a pasture pet. Like to be scratched if I happen to be near here when irrigating.lol

I'll take all that Freightliner semen you want to toss-if they're considered wild I don't know what you'd call EXT's lol. Old pAT can extort money from you americans I'll pass on enriching the old hypocrit.
