The colorful calf is out of a black baldy cow, and a bull that is one-eighth Maine Anjou. I needed a couple extra bulls last summer, and a friend had these for sale. Otherwise I try to stay with only Angus.

I've seen those white feet come from solid black Maine bulls. Actually I think they were bought as Angus bulls, the guy wasn't very happy when those white feet showed up. :???:

I do not like to see any white on an udder - - - seems like about calf # 5 and the udder is going bad. Cows with solid black seem to keep a good udder way longer.
