Neb.)-April Fools From KCSR Gets Many Comments

(Chadron)-The Stereo AM 610 KCSR staff has a great sense of humor, which, hopefully, was evident yesterday with the April Fool's story. Unfortunately, our writing skills may be just a little too good!
The story yesterday regarding supposed fees soon to be charged for radio stirred quite a reaction from our listeners which varied greatly. One listener emailed that she and her colleagues enjoyed the joke immensely and had quite a laugh out of it. However, KCSR also received several other comments from people who were afraid the story was genuine.
A gentleman caller said he had to point out the last line of the story to a co-worker after the man became a little upset at the idea of having to subscribe to KCSR and Chadrad.com. Another woman was wondering how to explain to her husband a new monthly bill to be able to Chadrad!
All of us at Stereo AM 610 KCSR appreciate our listeners, and hope that after looking at the story more closely, our listeners can also appreciate our sense of humor. We wouldn't be here without you, and wanted to give you a little bit of a chuckle.

My boss at the newspaper in W. Montana had a rather quirky sense of humor.
For the April 1 edition quite a few years ago, he dreamed up this story, (which was full of holes once you read it for the second time)...in that there was going to be a nulear waste site built south of the town.
Well, most didn't read it a second time, and he was up all night fielding calls including calls from the Co. Commissioners. Folks were really upset.
He had to publish an apology in the next issue of the paper.
Sometimes April Fools jokes backfire.
And people don't grasp everything they read the first time.
Including me. :shock:
