Lisa has been kinda busy here the last couple months. She just finished a pair of Armittas, that are going to Germany. I got her to model them for me. They are kinda plain, but have LONG fringe. I think they start at 12 inches and go from there.

I never thought I wanted a pair of them, but these sure got my attention!!

Those look good and made right, Lisa is quite a leather smith, best chinks I ever had was made by her.
Good luck

Very nice! I'd love to have the know-how to make gear like that! I might have to try to fashion me up something out of a steer hide someday. I know making my own would be the only way I'll ever swing a reata.

To be truthful- I'd never heard of Armittas ... Altho that's not surprising as until about 30 years ago when the "buckaroo" craze went national - I'd never heard of or seen any chinks... This country up here was much more chap country- be it batwings, shotguns, woolies or whatever...

But they sure are pretty...

Well I never did hear of woolies till big dummie was crowing about having a pair of mohair woolies, aint nuthin like going first class on the woolies :D :D
good luck

Originally, they were made just as plain as they could be. Just a calf or sheep hide, folded over a string. And the legs were just tied with a string around the thigh. Anyway, that is what I was told, when we were researching them.

That's good lookin leather, Im bettin a pocket or 2 outa that dark trim would really set em off.
good luck

You Texas boys and your pockets... They don't put pockets in Armittas, besides, with all that fringe, it would take you a month to find it.

well you gotta have some place to keep your copenhagen :D
good luck

PS how did an ole cowboy like you corral a good lookin woman like that ?
