I don't have to listen to hockey analysts oooh and ahh over Ovechkin-after last nights clinic by Crosby maybe they'll shut up about him. I guess if being a selfish hotdog who won't distribute the puck-runs around leaving his checking lane to throw cheap shots and plays like a baby girl in his own end Ovechkin is your man. He's got a great shot and can score goals but he's far from being the player Crosby is. Crosby knows how to win-Ovechkin knows how to hotdog.

:D Wasn't that a GREAT game,I'm a girl I coulda cried,LOVED it....

I enjoy watching Ovechkin but Crosby ROCKS!!!

Mario and wayne never cared about checking lanes....Tiger williams was one of the biggest hot dogs ever and all three we loved by most Canadians and all were enjoying to watch ply their trades.Ovechkin or as i thought Mrs Greg wrote(ovenchiken) is just simply fun to watch carry the puck and score goals.....A good coach does not stifle talent like that..You build around it.If we start worring about the talent being in their checking lanes we will never see the likes of Mario,Wayne or even Bure;s of the game...Great players bring different talents to the Game...Mario was no Wayne and Wayne was no Mario, but dam I sure miss watching them both play the game thier way....

I'm comparing Crosby to Ovechkin sunshine and I'm just betting Alexander Baby got an asschewing after he stood there like a pylon and watched Staal drive the net. He might be on more highlight reels but he's not even CLOSE to the same hockey player Crosby is. Great players like Mario and Wayne made the players around them better Ovechkin doesn't. We loved Tiger William's celebrations because he didn't score too damn many. Ovechkin acts like every goal he scored won the Stanley Cup which is probably as close as he'll get. Face it Crosby rose to the occasion in game seven and everybody's European flavour of the month didn't-just like the Sedin's choked for Vancouver.

And to think he went to a boarding school here in Minnesota for a year or two. They did a news story on that school this winter sounds more like a big time hockey camp that also has school was interesting. I did'nt even know we had such a thing in this state.

Shattuck/St. Mary's was the prep school he went to I'm pretty sure. Tisdale, sask. has the game sheet from the MAC tournament when the played St. Mary's and won-Crosby was only 15 but they were packing rinks in Calgary to watch him at that tournament. Ovy is a highlight reel Crosby is the total package. Two greasy goals to decide game seven's last night but like they say'a pretty goal is one that goes in'.
