Temp last night only got down to about 40-- was 45 this morning when I was feeding and the babies were enjoying the sun and NO WIND!! Spring must be here as when I was checking heifers last night at midnite the skies were full of Sandhill Cranes singing their song...

Some were too lazy to move as I went by with the feed truck

Others thought the second cutting was meant for bedding...

Your calves are dandies, OT. Are they from your 6807 bred bulls?

FH- Some are-- I know the little brockle faced is as its a heifers calf- others are by him and the 878/Blockbuster bulls...

Temp got to 64 today and they really enjoyed it.....

How can you say"15/16ths when most of the "angus" breeders can't prove that their bloodlines are that pure. :???: :???: :???: :???:

Your probably right- he probably has more angus in him than some of the purebred angus bulls that are being sold   But he just won't give up that grey color....

OT don't worry, I bought a bunch of 30 bred cows that were all angus cows bred the same way, and we have had 10 char. calves so far. Maybe that had something to do with a neighbors bull.  :???:

One of those things I guess.

Well I know thats how these originally came about- but that was 4 or 5 generations ago and they still won't turn black- still get the occasional grey...
