Some of our new babies. We have 17/28 heifers calved out right now. One more that looks real close, and a few showing, but I am not really expecting them for a bit yet.

The best part of having babies around

Wow, looks like your heifers are calving out fast. I had 13/24 heifers calve quickly, now I'm getting another wave of them... still going to have 3-4 late ones. Your calves look good! :D

Calf watching is just as entertaining as people watchin in an airport..there's always those ones that make ya laugh...hope the rest of the season goes smoothly for ya! Thanks

Thanks Soap, these are the first nice days these calves have had. Other than today and yesterday, it has been cold, cold, cold. They are enjoying the weather too.

WY, They are calving out fast, just doesn't really seem like it, they have been going since the 20th of Feb. We will have a few late ones too. Not sure how many, but there are a couple not showing hardly at all right now.

Jassy, I love watching babies, they can be so funny. Cows are due on the 6th, so we should be getting real busy here any day. As long as the weather holds, we should be OK.

DH say's we are supposed to get a Colorado Low in the next week or so, could make things interesting.

Thank you guys.

MYT, that is just boooooring  I like having a little diversity around here  . Plus it keeps both me AND DH happy cause we like different colors.

Kelpies, he should be a good calf come fall too. That is one darn good cow.

Blkbuckaroo, they do appreciate the hutches, we have 3 of them, and when it is cold out they just hunker down in them.

I know, it gets to be a drag. What was really cool was when we bought a bunch of Angus bred to ? bulls and got from white, to yella, to brockled, to orange, to dark red. Well, I'm breeding in some Hereford this year, so at least I'll have a little color to brighten up my day. Or, I could breed to a Maine "poodle" and get blazes, stocking, and the whole nine yards! (Sorry, BMR, just can't help myself. :D )

Well, having every color under the rainbow isn't necessarily cool either, no 2 that look alike. Makes things interesting when you go to sell them  . But, then again, that's why they have presort sales.....

Gotta have what you like, or it is just no fun.
