Bad Omen

I've seen a lot of awfully white looking moose lately too. Hope they pull through.
Pulled a tick off a horse the other day too. That's the bad thing about having willows in the horse pasture.

The Turkey Buzzards moved in with a vengeance yesterday. I have never seen them in the snow, so I think winter is OVER for US!!! :D :P I feel for you guys up north.

No Turkey Buzzards here this morning, a foot of heavy wet snow instead. :(

oh...... what I wouldn't give for a foot of heavy wet snow right now! Its been in the mid 80's for the last several days, and real dry and dust blowing. Im pretty sure winter is over for us.

I'd bet the ranch that per is wishing you had the snow instead of him. :D :D

You can say that again. It is however great snowball making snow so I can amuse myself throwing snowballs.

Not warm enough for snowballs here ... almost zero visibility. If one more person tells me "just think of all the green grass" ... I'm gonna punch them!

How cold are you? We are -1C right now. I have quite a few acres of mixed legume/grass that will emerge from under standing water as grass. So I guess we will have green grass alright but I would have liked to have the Cicer Milkvetch and Alfalfa in with it.

-3 with a horrid wind. One dead calf but it appears to have been a twin. Just talked to a fella at Gull Lake - nothing happening there - south of Cypress Hills just keeps getting winter! It will be at least another two weeks before anyone can put anything in the ground here.
