We have a wallhanging we bought when we were in Montana a few yrs back...hubby loves the "old" wire history. Anyway its got nine differnt barb wire on it and the names and yrs,so if I'm correct at what your talking about,it looks like its called Hodge wire and the yr is 1887 :shock: Cool huh???Lenahorse said:They have that here in NE Texas also, blue & green.
We have some old spur rowl wire on our south pasture still hanging from a few posts, I always wondered how old it is.

It has a 'rowel' like a spur about the size of a nickel that used to spin on the wire. A few still do.
