Nice pics. We have a old dump rake just like that where we are calving. Was telling my daughter just yesterday about the time i walked home in the dark during a snow storm one winter night long ago from where that rake sits.

I see your weather has a little more white stuff floating around than we do at the moment...bet your calves are like ours and would luv to bask in some warm sunshine...nice shots...thanks..and keep clicking away!

Cal I thought you had it all figured out till I saw that floor mop in the last pic. Sometimes the wives win, do they not?

Calves look good.
Your wife only wins sometimes? You are a lucky man.

Great pictures, Cal. Thanks for thinking of us!

What a set of calves! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

What is that 7201 calf? He is awesome.
Thanks Faster horses. I'm going to geuss a little and say that his dam is probably out of a grandson of Scotch Cap, and was turned in to a pasture with several sons of New Design 878.

When I was a kid we used a rake that was fairly wide (from a kids perspective anyway) and had the springteeth. I don't remember that rake in the picture being moved ever. BMR, how'd you end up walking home during a snow storm? I'm geussing a horse done it. :?

Nice pictures Cal........ You have snow... We don't.... Are them the dogs you sell? They are darling..... I'm with fh on the calf, what are the breeding????
katrina, the snow actually melted later in the day. After the last batch of pups, she was spayed. It wasn't really easy money...a litter of little white pups can make one continuous mess, and pretty gross after they started eating solid food.

Probably a twelve pack and a damned motorized vehicle failure  :P

I was out feeding with a tractor. I didn't pay attention to the fuel, guage so it was getting low. Coming down a hill I ran out of fuel so nothing to do but walk home. Had to get right back with fuel and get it started while it was still a little warm or it might have sat where it died all winter..
The snow was crusted so one step up then break thru. Seemed like a long walk.

Mrs. Greg,
I was told that a fuel gauge is merely a "guide" for how much fuel is left in the tank. Rumor has it that you have 16 clicks left if it is on "E". Men like to test this theory to the limit, unlike women who almost always fill when it reads a quarter tank. :P
