and not having the self proclaimed greatest fans at the top will no doubt be cause for a recount....

looks like an SEC homer poll in my opinion....
 
Sorry Mike. Seeing LSU at the bottom ATM not even on the list I know it can't be that accurate. Can't know the AU fans tho. They do support their team.
 
A nation leading 300+ consecutive sellouts and counting (starting when Kennedy was President) tells me that this "list" is total BS and nothing short of wishful thinking on some doorknob's part.

It's amazing that during home games, Memorial Stadium has the third highest population in the STATE, ahead of Grand Island by over 40,000 people.

I'll bet that Jigs has been to more games @ Memorial Stadium than I have.

I've been to 2. We played Oklahoma at home around 1980. I think JC Watts was the OU QB and he threw a Hail Mary in the end zone with about 17 seconds left in the game. The receiver went about 30 feet in the air and reeled it in...giving OU the win.

The second was an Iowa State game around 1983 or 84. Got totally smashed and don't recall much except when the 3rd quarter started we had hung a bunch of points on them and the chant from the student section was "C'mon, Tom! Let the white guys play!"
 
went to ONE got seats from my cousin who coaches track there...sat on the 30 yardline, row 20..... right in the faculty section with all my purple on

KU beat the hell out of NU the week before, and Callahan was up by 24 in the 4th.... kept throwing it deep... I jumped up and yelled that a decent coach runs the ball in this situation..... a lady three rows ahead of me turns and says, I'm sorry for how he is playing the game, but this is a desperate man trying to save his job..... ain't gonna do him any good, but he is trying.....

we decided to leave with my cousins group only 4 minutes to go in the 4th..... he was going to give us a tour of the VIP area and possibly meet Osborne.... as we left, the self proclaimed greatest fans yelled, screamed and cursed us for trying to win in their house.... what a bunch of a$$holes..... made Missouri fans look good....

I never saw more thugs than what I saw at Colorado, Missouri, and Miami games.....

we all have our share of poor sports and people who ruin it for the rest of us. but in Big 12, Mizzou and CU were notorious for having the mean streak

Jigs always had his eyes closed when at home in Manhattan.
After the WheatHeads got a few in the win column, their true fan base began to show up and give some thug'n love. Even the kiddies in grade school are taught to get their gangsta on down there.
 
I believe you are mistaken....husker fans got upset when you came to town, and were not expected to win...it hurt your feelings, and we did not care.....
 
Well Jiggsy, I feel pretty accurate in saying that visiting fans are treated far better in Lincoln than visitors in Manhattan. But then you guys love Brent Musberger down there...that explains a lot.
 
I highly disagree.... we went to Lincoln that year as a favorite.... walking in people said nice things like good game, take it easy on us, we are not very good so don't run up the score.....after the game it was you don't come up here and win, your still K State, you guys are not Husker caliber , we are Nebraska....you really think you can beat us....

total arrogant pricks.... but I grew up knowing the TRUE husker fan, a shitty winner, and pathetic loser, and all around doushe bag
