Best recent western movie

Oh yes. Now I remember that movie. It was chilling. I was chilled to
the bone...

A friend of ours got us the DVD, "Pledge of Honor"
starring Don Johnson. I had never heard of it, but it is about
doing away with the calvery horses after the war. A few guys
felt they owed their lives to the horses and didn't want to see
them destroyed. It was pretty rotten how they killed the horses.
Really upset some of the soldiers so they got away with all but the
first 100 that were killed. They then drove them into Canada to escape the orders of the US Government. The Canadian Governement
agreed to take them.

Has anyone see it? It's good. She thought it was true, but
I don't think it was. Have to watch it again and see.

What no 'Brokeback Mountain' ROFLMAO. Lonesome Dove is definately first-I liked 'Tom Horn' with Steve McQueen in it.

Brokeback Mountain was actually a good movie (not into the man to man scenes, myself). Made a person stop and think how hard it would be to love someone and not be able to be with them.

As far as them being sheephearders if ya all read people you'd recall the story they had about American cowboys some that owned ranches that went through hell and high water to be with the person they loved.

God FH, I think I have seen a lot of movies that I barely remember and that is one of them... I haven't been to a Theatre in almost 10 years but I spend way to much time doing figuring on a notepad with one of the movie channels on.

Yeah FH- I saw that show...The part about running the horses into a draw and shooting them was disturbing...I cheered for the "horse thieves" in that one....

And I've watched "The Ghost in the Darkness" a couple of times--First time was on a late night show when I couldn't sleep because of my arthritis--took a couple of pain pills and went out- until one of the dogs (in the bedroom) howled answering the coyotes and I jumped 20 feet out of bed--was sure a lion had me.....
