Today was much better. After almost a decade of drought, I decided to never complain about moisture again... but a little break would be nice
. At least this isn't January... it won't stay for long!
Yesterday, this cow wanted in my house... and I don't blame her  . We ended up with around 20 inches out of this storm. In the past two weeks, we've gotten right at 40 inches of snow. This spring is acting like springs in the past, maybe we're pulling out of the drought. More is forecasted for this week, but not as much, and it's supposed to be warmer (Smiley left out intentionally).
Sorry, no room at the Inn
.
Today I turned pairs out which had been in the barn during the storm. I trailed them to a good, sheltered spot... getting there was the challenge.
I'm stuck! Life was quite a bit easier 24 hours ago.
Older calves this afternoon. Sun and a nice place to bed down makes all the difference .
BB was right... they climbed into the rocks to absorb the heat and drink melted snow which had pooled there
.
The same hearty hereford from yesterday
.
