Big 10 - SEC update?

I was looking for the Big 10 - SEC update and wasn't seeing it?.....

Ohio State finally won one after 33 years and they are 1-10 against the SEC in bowls now.

Is that what you wanted to hear?

I was actually worried about this game and suspect of Arky's defense.

One team I know put up 55 points against them and they lost their best receiver, by far, to injury. Mallett made a lot of mistakes and had a lot of dropped passes, but i do give credit where due..............Ohio State played defense.

The big story on CBS Sports this morning is how the NCAA infractions committee gave Ohio State that game.

Did you watch it? It could have gone either way right at the end.

Nothing to be ashamed of there. Big 10 Co-Champions against the 3rd best team in the SEC West. At least they didn't lose 5 in one day.

no way in hell that those 5 kids should have played in that ballgame....

Maybe I don't know the whole story, but I don't think those kids did anything wrong to begin with.

yes, but I think there is to be some leway with that rule.
Of course you mean it's a subjective rule. Subject to the interpretation of the officials calling the game. In other words Ambiguous.

The mere fact that an alone wide receiver is catching a ball in the endzone is "calling attention" to himself.

He could stop and tie his shoe and possibly be called for a penalty for "excessive celebration" by an overzealous official and nothing could be done about it. Many players take a knee in the endzone after a touchdown. They should all be penalized according to the rule as written.

The penalty on KSU was wrong. It may not have changed the outcome of the game, but then again it may have.

It's right up there with the 5th down call against Missouri several years back where Colorado got 5 downs to win.
