My grandfather shot a muley in Crested Butte in 1966. As far as I know it had never been scored. Last year I told him about the deer at Eastman's big display during the Black Hills Stock Show. He wanted to see the deer, but we couldn't get together. Well, I brought him with me this year, he was a monster. Official B&C score was 238.7 after 5 and some odd inches of deductions. Pretty cool. My grandfather died in the real early 80's, the plaque mount set in storage for over 20yrs then I ended up with it. I think I might have him mounted, I actually had I guy offer to do him shortly after he was scored.

Sounds like a awesome buck. Post some pictures do I can drool a little. If ya do get him mounted, make sure you find a great cape. Off of an old bruiser of a buck. Nothing looks worse that giant horns on a 3 year old buck's cape. :D

What a great story and keep sake from your Grandfather!

I was at the Stock Show in Rapid City this past Saturday and Sunday. I saw the Eastman's Deer Tour and visited with Roger Selner for quite awhile. He said there are many great deer like your's that have been stored away for decades, that nobody knows about. Each year there are new discoveries like yours. Several in his display this year were recent finds.

Please get photographs for us!
