Big Muddy- Rain?

No one in these parts got any rain. Dry thunderstorms is all. Pretty
early for that. No fires though, and no hail. Breezy here, but nothing
like what we had yesterday. That was ugly.

We had a power surge a couple of times, and now the clock on my stove won't work. Mr. FH wasn't too concerned about the clock til I informed him that part of the stove controls the oven. :wink:

Its been raining here for days.
LOLs Remember how we were all worried about drought here a few weeks ago?
 
FH----had a series of gully washers followed by nice, slow soakers for the past 48 hours....trying to send them your way!! Best of luck!!! :wink:
 
I got a question for you guys...................what is this thing you talk about and call "rain"?????????????????

May the rain keeep coming for you and the cattle market never go down!!
 
We have a drop or two occasionally fall out of the sky... Scares the living bejeebies out of me sometimes but we get it occasionally.. They are talking rain tonight but I will believe it when I hear it. The hay barley is pretty much a loss now. Parts of the field are good in the hollows but the hilltops are all of 4-6 inches tall.

Thinking about Katrinas method of getting the rain but the closest barn is 1 mile as the grow flies.

All day here we had mist and air so thick you almost had to cut it- no real moisture tho- altho you would get wet walking thru it...Humidity right now is 100%... The weather boys said before the night the rain should start in again.......

Old Big Muddy might be calling for a boat to catch him before he floats down to the Missouri.....
 
We had a couple 90 degrre days with 90% humidity.. Felt like it was going to rain the whole day... Storms fired up all over the place but swung to the south, the north or fired up just east of us.... I can't imagine what it most be like for you folks who have had a decade of this going on... Year one was bad enough but it all looked good with a wet January and March and a normal April..... Oh well, the thing about our precip situation is that it usually just takes a system or two to get things going in the right direction again.



The two mile naked relay isn't going to happen anytime soon... I don't suppose a machine shed would count?

STILL raining.....daughter in her way to boze-angeles right now to take her college entrance ACT's and I am a little concerned for her to be on these roads at this time! :(

Would like to send some of this your way, Passin' Thru and to you, too, Faster Horses......acts like it wants to head East of us...don't know why she keeps missing you!!! :? :? Maybe one of ya over there better be trying that "commando to the barn" dance I've heard ya talking about!! :shock: :shock: :wink: :wink: Will pray this heads your way!!
 
I've been trying to talk Mr. FH into doing it. I'd scare everything away...
dogs, horses, bulls...don't want to have to find them again. :wink:

Strange weather we are having. Not much visibility and windy.
The deck is wet, but the ground isn't. It's just crazy. I think we have
40% chance of moisture but it's been missing us.

I hate the weather teasing us. why can't it just rain and get it over with... :mad:
 
Boy it sure is hard to get rain when you really need it, we've had 90% chance today and only got about .10", cool and overcast, better than a hot dry wind. Sounds like areas around Great Falls have had big rains, noticed that Great Falls has gotten around 6 inches of rain in the 2-3 weeks. Maybe its our turn next. Did you get any rain out of this Faster Horses? I'll bet OT got some more today.

I was starting to wonder-- was 100% humidity and fog all night...Then this morning it was fog and wind together :???: I had never seen that....Anyway the air was so thick you'd get soaked walking thru it...Then about 10AM, it started to rain and is still drizzling along...Only got about 1/4 inch so far, but with the 1/4 inch the day before there are puddles standing in the yard....

Yeah it looks like Great Falls area and some of the Golden Triangle area are getting good rain...Flood warnings out over there.....
