The Big Ten has been overrated for years, but that sort of thing goes in cycles. It is one of those deals where they rate the winner fairly high because they won the conference and then rate the second place team just a little lower because of reputation and on down the list.
I would say the Big 12 was overrated in the few years after Nebraska won their back to backs.
The SEC is always ESPN's favorite so that leads to overrating among the fans.

the way the south has played so far,I am wondering how over rated they are...OU will be the deciding factor on how over rated the big 12 was this year....not a big Stoops fan, but sure hate to see Florida get the title....

I pulled for Texas but feel that they were as lucky as an outhouse rat. They didn't convince me of any superiority over Ohio State.
I thought it was funny. all the big shots were talking of the Texas claim to the title, and how they would blow out OSU.... I think Mack Brown is a punk for a coach. who couldn't win at Texas??? it is a talent rich monopoly.....

I do not like Stoops because of the way he hosed KSU in the Big 12 title game in 1998.
I do not like Brown because he has all the talent in the world at Texas, never turns it into a title, and crys about how the system is against him.
Pete Carrol is a prick, Troy Polomua put an illegal and dangerous hit on Aaron Lockett as he awaited a punt, the hit was horrid. and Carroll gave the game ball to Polomua for the hit. classless bastard no matter what team he did it to
