Bill Snyder

I think it's nice that the rest home encourages their residents to send cards and notes out to their friends & family....

Pretty cool thing to do.

he has done this many times. after we demolished Baylor several years ago, he asked to address the team in the locker room. he proceeded to tell them that if they kept their head up and finished hard, they were paving a path for new recruits to step up and achieve greater things...he was right. look at Baylor now...

he is a great man.

Wonder if Snyder sent his condolences to Bo after the Huskers cut him loose?

No doubt Snyder is one of the classiest guys in college football. Those that make fun of his age know that too. They expose their jealousy with every comment.

I'd imagine the 12 mill Bo & his coaches will, sigh,....just have to divvy up were condolences enough.

I like to tweak Jigs about Snyder's age...I never said that he wasn't a class act. But....when he retires (for good), their program will likely fall flat on its face, no matter what they do or who they replace him with. Look at Ron Prince. That worked out real well.

I would like to hope we learned our lesson from the Prince debacle. But it will no doubt be a very sad day and a tumultuous time in Manhattan when Snyder retires

Huskers made a few calls to Bill Snyder in regards to the open coaching spot... Coach Snyder was humble and declined with this statement "I appreciate your interest in my abilities to lead your football program, however I have resurrected a dead program once before, and have no desire to do that again, so I will not be taking the Nebraska job"

As a rule, retreads aren't known for superior service or longevity. They can be a viable option when you can't afford new rubber, though.

I'm optimistic about the new coach. It'll be interesting to see what he can do with a friendly administration and no worries about money, two things he didn't have at Oregon State.
