was -14 F or -25.5 C this morning at 6. Didn't sleep all night and missed a early morning check. Put a big black calf in the hot box with a 35,000BTU propane heater blowing under it . Did walk a Herfors calf into the barn with its Mom, put the 125,000 fuel burner out side the pen . It was fun to watch the calf he stand and warm one side the the other then his back side.

-7 F here this morning and when I came in after checking at dawn, I warmed all sides in front of the fire as well.

Only got to -17C here last night, almost like a day off! Water is thinking about running now at noon, looks to be a beautiful day. Was working in my shirtsleeves yesterday afternoon, +4C with the sun shining and no breeze.
I believe it may be spring!

Low of -15c last night and up to 8c here today. Water is running big time off the places we've plowed.

Forecast is for 12 to 14 on Thursday and Friday. That should really break things loose!
