Last night, I couldn't resist stopping by the fireworks stand to give these guys a bad time. A year ago
I was checking pastures on the very hot 5th of July, and came upon these fellers with a flat tire on
their utility trailer. One of the trio had inadvertantly loaded the spare tire clear to the front and underneath
a whole load of left-over fireworks. His brothers were giving him a certain amount of good-natured
harrassment. Last night I just had to stop by to warn them to load the spare tire in an accessible location.

Have a good summer, guys. :-)

On the way to town, I encountered a pickup pulling a utility trailer that had a flat tire. They had a spare,
but it was clear in the front of the trailer buried under a load of fireworks that these fellows had been selling over the holiday.

Harrassing the poor younger brother. These boys all grew up on a neighboring ranch, even though they now live
from Gordon to Atlanta. They are good time guys and do a fine job keeping everyone they are around quite entertained.

Looks like a pretty fancy desk and chair in the back of the truck. I learned that lesson once with a flat on a highway service Mail Truck I dove in 1979. Had a flat on the front and the tire was in front of several fork lift cages. Fortunately I had a pallet jack on board and got to rearrange the load. Funny how the photo's bring back memories that would otherwise be forgotten.
