Oh goody, another blizzard
Thenoveltyandfunhaskindofgone.jpg

The novelty and fun has kind of gone out of these days.
Lookslikeroanshorthorns.jpg

Looks like little roan shorthorn calves
Thereisstillabigsnowdriftandtumblew.jpg

There is still a big snowdrift and tumbleweeds in the fence corner from the last blizzard.

Brady and Rena making sure the cattle are snuggled up to the best shelter.
Renasaysthumbsdownonthiskindofday.jpg

Rena says "thumbs down" on this kind of a day.
Shewassnowboardingbutgottangledupwi.jpg

She was snowboarding but tangled up with a horse.

From wild cow milking to riding in the snow,
What a hard way to make a little dough.  :-)

Looks the same here today. I'm getting ready to post a few pics too, so we can compare our white-out conditions . I realize it's no fun, but your pictures really turned out cool looking... in more ways than one :D. Stay safe!

Wow, good management to you. (don't believe in luck) Remember, the sun is shining brightly above that weather. Hope the cost of that Nitrogen laden moisture isn't too high.

I hate to tell you, its sunny and 39 here, I think the kids and I will break out the bicycles or jump on the tramp this afternoon 8) We've had a few skiffs of snow and coolness in the last week or so, glad we had our major snow back in Jan/Feb.

I can beat that.

75F right now...I'm sitting out on the screen porch soaking up the sun.

BUT....BUT....BUT...we're to have snow by Mon/Tues!!!!!

Hey Soap your pictures look just like my place, except when I was out checking on the cows this morning they all seemed to be content in out of the weather, but it is wearing on them as they don't even want to come close to the building.

I would think that these non-stop blizzards are taking their toll on you guys as well.

It's in the mid 50's here, but our turn is coming tomorrow with 5+ inches of snow in the forecast.

Brady's and Rena's faces are just frozen in that position. This one is a ring tail doozey all right. We have more dirt in the air than snow--brown drifts. It is to blow out of here about midnight. Caint wait!

For us here, they just moved it until 4 am Sunday now was supposed to be gone at midnight tonight, I guess we should have said a few more prayers or something,

Yep, still looks like home. It has snowed about 20 inches here so far, with drifting. Quite a job shoveling the gates out just to get to the calving barn, only 16 degrees. I'm going to play it very safe tonight since no one could get to me if I got in a wreck, risks are never worth it, but especially on a night like this. Your calving barn looks very cozy, you've got lucky cows. You all be very careful out there too .

It is snowing less here now..but the wind is terrible strong and snow is drifting bad yet. Hope the wind goes down by morning like they are predicting. Everyone be careful out there.

Snowing hard here tonight also and the wind is blowing 41 with gust up to 55 mph :x . Had to put one cow in the barn that had a calf in the coral pretty chilled but doing good now :) . The poor cows are just covered in snow, the dang wind is just swirling the snow  . Like everyone else said hope everyone stays safe and good luck :!:

Good for you! I advise my daughter that if you own livestock, they should and often will inconvienience you, but they are just cows, so don't let them endanger you.

Hang tough everybody! We can sympathize with each other 'cause no one else really knows what it's like. I haven't turned my pickup off for eighteen hours now, glad we got some good tire chains. Got a few cows that calved during the night to try and get in, come daylight, and put them with their calves. With calving all the heifers out first, starting Feb. 10 with mostly cold weather......this is getting really old. The next moron that goes off about global warming......should be beaten.
