Snow really piling up in drifts around protected areas of the yard... ENE wind blowing 20-30 mph and some hiways are emergency travel only because of visibility...Some areas got rain before the snow and are covered with black ice..
Temp is 28...

Brutus is upon us....

Atheena has departed this area after 2 or 3 inches on snow and cold rain for about 24hours. Southern New England got worse part of the storm just what they did not need after Sandy devastation,

windy, cold with a layer of ice here this moring. snow is expected to show tonight and tomorrow.

we will see how he likes truckin now

Could be an interesting trip- I see Gt Falls was reporting over a foot of snow at 6AM... 200 looks pretty much snowcovered or black ice in spots until you get near Great Falls-- then it looks like every road leading into Great Falls is severe/emergency only conditions...

We've only picked up about 5 inches on the hiline- but the wind is really coming up....They're still talking we could get 70 mph winds...

Well, it has got pretty western out here. The storm was supposed to hit here tomorrow and bring anywhere from 1 to 3 inches. We have 8 inches right now and it is snowing sideways. :D May need a refresher course on how to hook up the dogsled here shortly. Course i only have one dog and no sled. :D The desert is frosty and snowy today!

Train some coyotes

We have had the nicest weather the last three weeks, high around 80, but now tomorrow 55  but it has been a couple of months since any moisture and none in the forecast either.
I hope ya'll fare well thru this and are all done weaning and shipping calves early this year. Friends in North Dakota say its looking like a real deal storm.

Highs in the 80's here the last 3 days. 84 today. Windy and dry.

Need a rain. BAD. 40% chance Saturday night and early Sunday, or so says the weather man.

'bout to get real bad here again if we don't get some moisture.

I would but i have been thinning them out thanks to my trap line. Never trapped before and sure enjoying myself trying it. Caught a pretty 5 year old male last week. He's on the stretcher now. :D

We're up to about 10 inchs of what is turning into wet snow since the ground underneath it was warm and its melting from the bottom up- so on the level we only have about 5 inchs...Temp is 15- but that is supposed to change with temps dropping down to 0 for the night and -10 to -15 tomorrow night.....BRRRR

Still snowing- but very little wind and the snow now coming straight down...

It started snowing here about 3:30 this afternoon. Wind changed to the NW blowing some snow visability now only about 150 yards. temperature droped about 14 degrees about 22 degrees F now.
