blue heeler

i have a large breed blue heeler,cannot find what breed he actually is so i can replace him when mine passes.he is old now but what a great dog.110 lbs, tall but with same body structure.smaller head than neck broad butt.he is just large.the vet says he is a cattle dog but most ive found go 35 to 40 pounds.help

Got one of him standing up...... he's a big boy for sure. Mine's only about 40lbs or so.

I've seen some FAT 50lb'ers....but nothing as heavy as you say this boy is.

Could he be mixed with something like WolfHound or DeerHound?


They both have heads like his, that greyish/blue color and that fits the size also.

I have a heeler who weighs probably 65-70 lbs, a friend who had one that prob weighed in the 80lb range, (both purebreds) I would guess by looking at him he is a Queensland heeler, judging by the size of his head, which is what the real thing is supposed to look like .

his hips are going,i got him on glocosemine and all and it helps.when hes done i gotta find me another cause he has been great.no cattle,just kids fishin and livin with me nomatter where,lol.

Put him on Cetyl M. It has worked miracles on my dog with hip dysplasia. It took about three months to start seeing improvement. My dog couldn't even walk a mile without being in pain... now he goes with me riding on my forest allotment, and can go several miles.

i got him on triple joint max,its high on epa,msm,and dha.ive heard those are important part of giving them glucosamine.i reasearched it and found that most have low mg on the epa msm and dha.got to hunt for the right mix.he was down for the count but this picked him up to catchin the bone,problem is he is 10 yrs old and large.things are starting to happen.and to be honest im dreading his end.he has been a great dog.i dont cattle him but he has been very active,he wouldnt have it any other way,lol.
