Well fo sho we had to get this little ol Charolais calf roped him havin' a broken leg and all. My wife and I headed to the neighbors and she hung onto my belt while my neighbor lined out her half ton after him. i threw a chevy HooleyHanna at him with a 45 footer and tied hard to the slip tank filler cap. Got it done and with no snuff lol. I garantee I didn't copy this story out of a Louis L'Amour novel either.

Well I saw a snuff detail in that story. Yup, it jumped right out in my eye.

Let me get this right, now.

Your wife had a hold of your belt so you wouldn't fall out. She was worried sick, but she managed somehow.

You were ropin him outta the pickup box, prolly leaning over the tailgate.

She was copin and you were hangin.

Got it?

Copinhangin.

Clos'nuff for me.

Now some bleedin heart farmer will likely call the Humane Society.

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Yeah...we've heard talk before....we want to see the pics...action pics. We'll even settle for some blurry ones

We were totally interactive no pictures lol. I was wearing my new Muck boots I got in Montana too come to think of it. tony Llamas not very comfortable in a wet north Saskatchewan fall.

I seen that done when I was a kid they roped a bull out of a truck with a stock rack on it.They were tied off and when the truck stopped the stock rack kept on going.

Neighbor is wearing a cast on his right arm right now for his roping the "tame" one from the pickup episode --seems his idea to do a little eye doctoring the "simple" way turn out not so simple and the cow, not so gentle.

I think this is definatly poem material...... Someone start it and we all add a line or stanza............ Come on you cowboy poets........ It'll be fun....

Ahem....... (it might help to hum the Beverly Hillbillies theme while reading this!)

Come and listen to a story about a canuck truckerroo....

Helping out a little bovine, that's what he had to do....

There wasn't any time to saddle up a horse....

So he hopped aboard a Chevy to rope the calf of course.....

Well the little Char saw Northern comin' and he tried to get away....

But Northern threw his rope 'cause the vet was on his way.....

The calf was kinda slow because his leg was broke...

NR got 'im captured, didn't even use his Cope.....

We ain't heard the endin' yet, but I'm sure we will....

The only thing for sure is the vet will send his bill....

NR helped this calf without givin' 'im a beatin'....

And now that steer has a chance to become some fine eatin'....

So login to ranchers later to see how things turned out....

If you don't like this story then just go ahead and pout....

Ya'all come back later ta this cyber locality.....

10 pages of this thread there you will likely see......

(My apologies to Jed Clampett  )
