Branding Day; Fall Calves

Branding was set for Saturday, but Mother Nature cancelled it. Sunday started off clear so we went ahead with our plans. My roundup crew was small but fierce.

Starting our circle.

Heading them in the right direction.

Taking them through the hills.

Heading them towards the windmill.

Up through the trees.

Joined by two hungry recruits so we quit for lunch.

Got them in the corrals and sorted up.

Getting down to work.

Bookkeeper at work.

Back to Momma.

Back out to pasture.

Speaking of gas warnings, yesterday I purchased a new gas cap to replace one that had gone bad. Every box has a warning, and this one says, "Warning; For use only on certain vehicle models." And I say, "Really?" :???:

Looks like a fun and productive day Your cattle look great, thanks for posting the pics. Like gcreek said, this place doesn't have many pictures anymore, and it is fun seeing them when they pop up.
