That's a cow I bought as a heifer calf-our brand is C lazy S ,Megan's is MOO and Ty's is Bar over TY-just in the process of registering Lazy S OB for Sara.

We had a neighbor whose brand was COW on the left rib, just as big as day. If I was brand inspecting your outfit and saw that Lazy S OB I would die laughing and wouldn't be able to finish!!!  :D :D

I also just wanted to let you know what a wonderful family you have, your story about Megan (your eldest) who won the Provincial 4-H Public Speaking about her dad's misadventures, Sara and her ambush with the fake skunk and how you were so proud, Little Emily, who is cuter than a bug's ear, and Ty, (future bullrider) who I am quite sure kicks butt at 4-H with his steer with the help of your wonderful halter. Your wife is a very sweet looking woman. You should be proud!!!

Yes I am very lucky-I'm sure my wife is on the shortlist for sainthood-Ty won day money today so should make it to his association finals-he's had a tough summer lots of 7 second rides but he covered one today. Faster Horses that mare is out of Meadow Lake by Dark of Night lol. Actually I have her and two of her sisters I raised out of an old brown mare that I bought for $200 with a set of harness thrown in. The stud she is out of was a son of Tonto Bars Hank my buddies Dad was standing him and asking $500 stud fee. Well you can't breed a $200 mare to that kind of stud fee unless it's free so my buddy and I arranged a covert liason lol. She's been a great little horse-real little iron lady gives you all she's got every time. I really should get her bred but hard to skip using her a year. We've got some nice horses off her sister's though-I really like raising my own ranch horses. I'll try and get some pics of our mares up sometime.

We wanta hear the "covert liason" story!

It was pretty funny cause the next spring I asked his Dad the stud fee-he said $500-I said I better get a better colt than I got this year lol. One of the best horse stories I know was an old friend of mine used to contract some bush rodeos and was short a few broncs-he 'borrowed' a big Clyde mare from his neighbor. Well his neighbor wandered up just as they were putting a bronc saddle on her. He looked her over pretty good and said 'She'd match my mare perfectly if she was a little bigger.' I said if you weren't so gutless you'd of sold her to him with some oats so she'd get a little bigger lol. My country is blessed with alot of real characters-I really miss that week that used to be our outdoor rodeo-lots of stories and laughs around the fire.

Are you saying I have chubby cheeks-I thought the saddle hid them lol. I actually looked exactly like Tyler when I was young.

You look just like a friend of mine we call him Hoss..

My ISP was down for about three days with "up grades" back now and it seems I missed out on a lot :( . Great pictures!!!! :D If youur neighbor got some video I sure would like a copy. Great looking family :!:

It must be nice to not have some of the irritations of the close neighbors we have. But some of them are a blessing as well - - - I guess it must all balance out. :)

What a beautiful looking family, NR!!! Gonna have your hands full with those kids, though  !!! that ty is gonna be a heartbreaker and those girls are ADORABLE!!! Got your ammo ready????

gotta tell ya, NR!! The hubby's favorite trick when the 16 year old brings home a date is to greet the young lad at the door with a very "firm" handshake and a direct "stare"...usually within the next 10 minutes he informs the unsuspecting fellow that if he "gets hungry, I will buy you a steak...just don't let me catch you nibbling on my daughters neck!"....turns poor jessica beet red and renders her date speechless!!!

My daughter Is now 22 and newly married, when boys first started showing up I'd be sitting on the step sharping my Bowie knife, Id tell the boy she better be brought home safe and early..... worked until she brought cowboy home thats now her husband
