Any idea what they called the brand?

I really don't have any idea. Don't remember it ever coming up in conversation. Have looked at some of the brands
registered/recorded during that period of time that belonged to some of my Dad's relatives, but have not found anything
that resembles it.

All this talk of brands reminds me of the two stories Soapweed wrote and are in his book. The sale barn brand

Inspectors have caught several calves or yearlings that have gone astray for us.

This is the same little horse about 12 years after coming to Oregon. The brand isn't as visible in this picture.
