I received this link in an email...(the link is the same as the email I got.) and tried to save the email and upload it to photobucket, but that maxed out my computer savvy.

Anyway, good looking Simmental cattle...I have no idea what the ad says...but would be interested to know. I think they have sexed semen on a sire, but not sure of that.

Cheers---

One thing I think folks forget about Brazil and South America- is the number of years Leachman was involved with the South American cattle industry-- which for years shipped seedstock ( some of which were Simmental) and even developed a "heat tolerant" cross "new breed" for S.A. and Africa...At one time they had offices I believe in Rio and and were shipping large amounts of cattle and semen to Brazil-Argentina.....

I remember on a couple of bull roll buys where the Brazilians/South Americans took much of the entire bull crop on certain cattle- and bought the tops off other bloodlines....

Rainie, the name Bar 5 is Canadian. They are obviously purchased and imported live, or are progeny of Bar 5 Simmental from Manitoba.

Bar 5 has moved to Ontario several years ago Pioneer 439 Was sold to SA at the 02 sale I tkink . They always have several buyers from Brazil & Argentina who do not flinch at some high prices Here is a link if interested

Both Brazil and Argentina have been active in importing improved genetics in recent years. On the heat resistant side, an increasing number of Bonsmara and Tuli cattle are being imported, initially from Australia and Canada, but Argentina now have import protocols in place to import direct from South Africa. Keeping informed and staying ahead in the production of quality beef, will be imperative for those producers wanting to stay in the cattle business in North America in the future.
