Done deal. I'm listening to Bo talk now. I thought I heard thunder from the South, but seeing no clouds, I surmised it was a couple thousand mildcat fans crapping their pants in unison.

LSU fans don't seem to be upset with Bo leaving. Wonder if he coaches LSU in the bowl game? If so, I guess TO can stay on the recruiting trail.

LSU defense won that game yesterday with an interception but how good is Tennessee?

Florida waxed TN and put up about 50 points. So did Bama.

Been a weird year is all I can say..............

I will be very curious to see what he assembles as a coaching staff. if he gets the right guys NU may improve, but remember when Cally was brought in????

I'm not impressed by him either, but who knows? Maybe him being defensive minded he will run all the defensive players off and start over.

That's where the Huskers are lacking....................when you give up 38 average points per game somethings got to change. Bigtime!

Look at Pelini's rankings at all his defenses and then tell me he can't coach.

Well, this is one 'Cat fan that's awfully happy they brought in Bo.

He's not the coach to fix the system. He'll be at best a middle-of-the-road coach. But he might be a heck of a recruiter. At LSU he had enough talent that they could mask a bunch of mediocre coaching.

Look at what happened when they got into they heart of their schedule. They started giving up 20+ points/game. I think Gill would've been a better long-term choice, but I think we're starting to see something brewing in NE that has infected everybody else. Impatience. They want to win NOW, and if they don't they're going to can the guy. Solich went 9-3 and got the axe. Pretty sure that Dr. Tom even had some less than perfect years when he started, but they still gave him a chance. Heck, it took him over 20 years to win his first Nat'l Championship as head coach. (But I will admit that he was very competitive prior to that ) And what everybody seems to be forgetting is that he coached in the heyday of college football when the "powers" would have 100+ kids on scholarship. That pesky scholarship limit has done a pretty good job of bringing parity to college football.

I'm not trying to say that K-State is gonna' be much either, I think Prince's team quit on him. Doesn't say much for his coaching.

I have heard that Gill is being asked to take the AAD job, then step in to take over for TO.

Stoops walking into OU and winning a title in his second or third year has everyone thinking it can be done.

I've heard plenty good said about him. Idiots like Jigs only listen to what they want to hear because they are insecure about their own POS team and coach. He's already got more to work with at Nebraska than Prince has amassed during his years there. I guarantee you that KSU would kill to have the talent that this Nebraska teams has that has yet to play up to it's potential. Don't read to much into this crybaby moron Jigs, he's just jealous becuase his team is heading the wrong direction.

To be fair, the Stoops endorsement is closer to Obama than Bill Klinton.

I fear NU will be nasty again next year. NU still has as many elite athletes as the rest of the North combined. A new defensive coach will reduce defense to knocking helmets off and get over that tenative approach. I sincerely believe allahan knows enough to win, but I have to conclude his sophisticated NFL scheming is a difficult adjustment in college.

I don't know about anyone bowling from the North; MU will be better, Kansas only loses 4 to graduation and has alot of redshirt help coming, CU's development curve is steep, ISU improved all season long under their first year coach - they're gonna be good, and Prince is going to have to prove something or pack his bags. Nebraska is still Nebraska, but the rest of the North isn't as sickly as it used to be.

The man is a hall of fame coach, has 3 National titles as head coach, 2 more as an assistant, enough conference champ. rings for all his fingers and toes, certainly one of the best coaches of all time and you think his reputation rests on one coaching hire? :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'll tell you what, I've got T.O., Jigs, and Mike in a room. If I want to know anything about bourbon, I ask Mike. If I want to know the best titty bar in Wichita, I'm talking to Jigs.
