Into the tub for shots

This calf was born in late March in a mud puddle. Mama was so mean had to put the calf in skid steer bucket and then use that to get cow into tub.

This cow had a high fever. I armed her and calf was alive so loaded her with dex, banamine and nuflor. Got a live calf and she lived and raised it.

More good pics, just FYI Dex can cause them to loose a calf. And Banamine does the same thing (good things that is) without risking the calf. :?

I see you've caught on to taking your camera with you to work...That's a good thing! I so enjoy seeing other places doing their stuff. One question though...do you get yelled at while your taking a picture instead of watching the gate??? Sometimes my timing isn't always good when I take pictures....lol Keep em coming..

Nicky, I gave her the dex, to get the calf out quick. The cow was pretty sick and need treatment. There was cow pneumonia going around this part of the country last spring. I was afraid the calf may have been already gone, but when I armed her it was right there and all ready to go. She had some milk in her bag. I have never heard that banamine could bring on labor. that's good to know.

Jassy, I have been taking my camera on my saddle everywhere. This isn't at work, it's at home we work for our selves. These pairs were headed back to another pen and I just had to follow and shut the gate :!:

Banamine does not bring on labor, I should've known you knew what you were doing  And glad it all turned out well :)
