These bull calves were born in May/June of 2012 and were wintered on range and loomix alone. We plan on running them on grass this summer and then they will be sold either in a sale in February of next year or private treaty. Please let me know what you think!

Thank you I have read a little on here from time to time but thought it might be more engaging to join and post. I was a little leary of winter grazing the bull calves and selling them at 18 mos as they are may/june born but I posted these pictures because I really feel they look good at this point not having had any grain. We retain ownership on our commercial cattle and we run them the same way as these bull calves. Winter graze, green grass right now then ship in August and finished in December January. The question is after grass this summer what to do with the bull calves. I would like to emulate our commercial production scenario but really like bulls that last a long time with no problems. Right now I'm looking at a high fiber/low NSC pellet at just enough inclusion to get them to gain 1.5 to 2 on paper and see which ones outperform NRC.
