I have asked this over at Cattle Today, but I thought maybe someone over here would maybe know something too, but does anyone know much about the BC Eagle Eye 110-7 Angus bull? I'm considering flushing a cow to him.

i haven't heard anything about this bull, but if all we are going by is apperance and paper-i like him :D i have a BC Marathon son that is a pretty good sucker. he is a easy keeper and very well manered. Marathon himself is sired by OCC Kirby and his dam is the Gibbet Hill Mignonne E37 cow. my Marathon son is out of a Bon View Bando 598 daughter. let us know what you decide :D

"Out of a Bon View 98 daughter" and you LIKE him, Justin?
We've found the BonView 98's get taller and moare rangy every year.
We had a purebred producer tell us that's exactly what 98 does...
He was a 'gone' bull and they've brought him back in the last few
years. Why, I don't know. It's my opinion there are way better
bulls out there. FWIW

I think that is a strange pedigree. OCC cattle and Papa Equator;
that certainly isn't breeding 'like to like' and isn't it Fullback that
throws scurs fequently and has bad feet?

Thanks, HD for posting all of that, I've been having a hard time getting everything to work on this computer and site.

We've had pretty good luck with OCC Magnitude and Emblazon, but Magnitude has been bringing down some of our cows frame size too much. The cow I'm thinking about flushing is an 11 year old cow who's been the most consistant one we have. This cow also had big broody heifers so I was hoping Eagle Eye will add a little flash.

geez FH, why don't you go ahead and kick my bull square in the nuts
i guess the soonest i can get him to a sale is next week sometime, what sale barn do you recomend? we need to get this sorry sob of mine out of the gene pool ASAP!   :P

mating can have alot to do with it, don't ya think?

Sorry I can't help as Angus is not my forte, maybe Valerie will jump in here...

He looks good in his pic, but I wish to h@ll they would show a bull in his working clothes so you know what the heck to expect out of him. Not all brushed and blown out.

I have seen this bulls sire this summer twice. Lookout is not as small as they say. I would say a 1 inch or two smaller than bigger bulls thats about it. I thought about Eagle Eye. But choose the more predicability of his sire that has some popular show cattle out RIGHT now. I purchased a Lookout X 004 last month good footed and genetle as a kitten...
This is Ranchers.net though not for everyone. Yet to see Eagle Eye
thought 004 would be better than stacking OCC. Thats why I made my decision.
Been with cattle to long to start bragging one up just trying to help answer the question posted here.
Ranchers these two bulls are not what most of you call ranch bulls.

Any time a BC leeds off the name I lose interest fast alot of feed can hide alot of faults. Show Cattle.
