Went to a local sale yesterday that according to backfat measurements were quit a bit fatter than Connealys. Bulls sold well all went to commercial cattlemen but one. Seems everyone is getting conditioned to buying the fatter bulls as the fatter they were the more they brought. I just continue to shake my head but what the heck do I know. Point is fat sells. Every year I say this trend will end but I am not so sure anymore. Most of the veterinarians in this area are so hungry for work they don't want to offend anyone as to why they have so many open cows that they don't want to say anything about it.
