THANKS To everyone for their advice! I corralled the bull this mornin' and hauled him to my vet. His diagnosis was a new one for me. Where the absess was dripping was actually two finger sized holes. We assumed it could mean he'd punctured himself on a dead cedar. After the ultrasound the vet decided it was just like Pigeon Fever in horses. Something had caused an infection of his lymph nodes along his belly which had plugged up spreading the swelling into his sheath. He cleaned the absess pocket and stuffed iodine gauze up in it to disinfect. Then because the swelling wouldn't allow the bull to retract his penis, he manually did it for him. To protect it from damage and drying out. Then put a suture of prolapse tape through the end of the sheath to hold it up till the swelling subsides. 50cc of Nuflor for infection IM and 10cc Banamine interveinous for a mild fever. Cost me $153 bucks. A lot of ya will get to say I told ya so if he goes to heck on me. I went this way because the bull is fine flesh. The sale barn isn't selling till Tuesday and I didnt want him waiting on treatment that long. And I'm hard headed and can do as I dang well please! The Vet thinks he'll be just peachy. I gotta remove the guaze on Saturday and give him some more antibiotic. If his sheath looks good the suture comes out then too. If not then on Monday!

The final result of our effort. The pink stuff is just an topical wound dressing. Thanks again for your input. I hope ya don't think I ignored ya!
I just am a hard headed Dutchman who likes to crash and burn!
