OCC Glory Grnd Daughter's the bull these are from died a couple weeks ago got on his back in a drainage ditch we did collect semen on him last spring so I do have 200 straws in the tank.

Both are Sitz Alliance 6595 son's weaning wts were 715 and 750#s on these two March 15th calves weaned oct 21st.

OCC Glory Grandson out of a 6807 grandaughter April 4th calf weaned 10-21 at 685#s

Sitz Alliance Calf out of a Viking Bred Cow That weighs a 1000#s he weaned at 635#s on 10-21

These calves were turned back out on grass 2 weeks after weaning and have been being fed some wet distillars grain and Dry grass hay since Dec 1st now we are starting them on corn,soybean meal, distillars syrup, hay and mineral.Going to weigh them real soon.
 
Yup good lookin cattle,caint say much for that tractor tho,how did that red rascal get in there ?

The tractor or the Hereford calf? The Tractor needs to be plugged in and the Hereford is waiting until spring then He will be plugged in on some black cow's.My wife is pretty miffed at the fact of a HEREFORD on the place oh well..

I been thinking about getting a good hereford bull to use on a few black cows I have too,those black baldies sell good around here............good luck.
 
Good lookin' calves Denny. I was telling Rkaiser not that long ago that I love looking at them this time of year, in the first month or two after weaning. They look a little rough, green and fuzz-ballish. The benefit is that you can see which calves are the studs and which are the duds. The separation is much more obvious in times of stress. The poorer calves will stale out and falter, and the good ones don't miss a beat.

I can see that here as they have sorted themselves with some of them getting the knife no sense keeping inferior bulls when their worth as much as fat steer's.
